Some players have enjoyed prolific goalscoring careers in the National League. However, some enjoy prolific, particularly good days in front of goal.

Here are the players who have scored the most goals in a single National League game:

Andy Dallas (5 goals scored for Solihull Moors vs Dover Athletic)

The forward scored five times for Solihull Moors in a 5-0 win over Dover Athletic in season 2021/22. The feat was made even more impressive as he scored all of his goals in just 54 minutes.

The Scottish star enjoyed a prolific career in the National League, scoring 50 goals in 128 goals in the fifth tier, 32 of which came for Solihull Moors.

Bradley Bubb (4 goals scored for FC Woking vs Nuneaton Borough)

Bubb enjoyed a memorable appearance for Woking, scoring in a 6-1 win over Nuneaton Borough in season 2012/13. The winger’s goal haul came in 22 minutes of the game.

He enjoyed a relatively decent career in the National League, scoring 21 goals in 62 appearances in the fifth tier.

Andy Cook (4 goals scored for Tranmere Rovers vs Gateshead FC)

Cook was a highly effective attacking player in the National League. He enjoyed his finest hour in season 2017/18, scoring four times in a 4-2 win over Gateshead FC while playing for Tranmere Rovers.

The goals were part of a 54 tally for Rovers in just 94 appearances for the Wirral outfit. He scored 104 National League goals and produced 24 assists overall.

Ricky Miller (4 goals scored for Dover Athletic vs Braintree Town)

Miller had a strong goalscoring record in the fifth tier, firing home 68 goals in 128 goals in the National League. The forward shone particularly brightly in a game in season 2016/17, scoring four goals for Dover Athletic in a 6-1 win over Braintree Town.

Miller’s quartet of goals came in the space of 26 minutes on either side of the two halves, three goals in the first half and one just after the break.

Liam Hearn (4 goals scored for Notts County vs Alfreton Town)

Hearn’s scoring record in the National League was a highly respectable one, as he scored 43 goals in 82 appearances in the fifth tier.

His most significant game in the National League came in season 2011/12 when he scored four goals for Notts County in a 5-2 victory over Alfreton Town, with all the goals coming within 29 minutes.

Dan Holman (4 goals scored for Cheltenham Town vs FC Woking)

In season 2015/16, Holman scored four goals for Cheltenham Town in a 4-0 win over Woking, the club he had just transferred from, all of which came in 32 minutes.

The goals were part of the forward’s 67 goals in his 200 National League games.

James Alabi (4 goals scored for FC Chester vs Aldershot Town)

The versatile attacker was never really a prolific goalscorer, finding the net on 39 occasions in 218 appearances in the National League.

However, Alabi enjoyed the most prolific game of his fifth-tier career when he scored four goals in an 8-2 win over Aldershot Town in season 2015/16.

Andy Pugh (4 goals scored for Cambridge United vs Hyde United)

Pugh made just 90 appearances in the National League, scoring 20 goals in his fifth tier.

A big chunk of the forward’s goals came in an 8-2 win over Hyde United in season 2013/14, with all of the goals being scored in 33 minutes.

Phil Jevons (4 goals scored for Hyde United vs FC Woking)

The former Everton youngster scored four times in Hyde United’s 7-0 home win against FC Woking in season 2012/13 within 46 minutes.

Jevons spent most of his career in the EFL but scored 15 goals in 35 games in the National League, where he ended his career.

Padraig Amond (4 goals scored for Notts County vs Halifax Town)

The Irish forward has a decent goalscoring record in the National League, scoring 47 goals in 116 appearances in the fifth tier.

Amond scored four goals in 48 minutes while playing for Notts County in a 7-0 home win over Halifax Town.

Scott Rendell (4 goals scored for FC Woking vs Dover Athletic)

Rendell spent much of his career in the National League, scoring 89 goals in 256 appearances.

The most prolific game of his fifth-tier career came in season 2014/15 for Woking in a 6-1 home victory over Dover Athletic.

Daniel Kanu (4 four goals scored for Southend United vs Solihull Moors)

Kanu made just six appearances in the National League. The only game in which the forward scored in the fifth tier was against Southend United in a 5-0 home victory over Solihull Moors, having scored times in the encounter.
